Worshipful Company of Glovers of London Visit ETSC & PPM Factories in Ethiopia

Pittards was honoured to welcome a visit from the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London to our manufacturing sites in Ethiopia recently. Alderman Alison Gowman, Master of the Worshipful Company of Glovers of London was joined by Renter Warden Ann Esslemont and liveryman Mike Redwood for a tour of Ethiopia Tannery Share Company and our finished goods operation Pittards Product Manufacturing. The Worshipful Company of Glovers of London is one of the city’s ancient Livery Companies and this year will be celebrating their 375th anniversary of the grant of their Royal Charter. Their visit to Pittards’ facilities in Ethiopia was impelled by their keen interest and promotion of businesses and training in the glove making industry. During their visit they also attended the All African Leather Fair where Ethiopia Tannery Share Company & Pittards were exhibiting. At the fair, Master Alison was introduced to the newly appointed President of Ethiopia and the Ethiopian Minister of Industry.
